As the CEO of Narthex, Patricia Coleman-Taylor’s goal is to develop an organization which provides great opportunities for staff, volunteers and those using the service to develop their skills and to contribute positively to enhancing their community. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, Patricia drives the strategy, fundraising, operations, and engagement with the board of trustees. She has brought focus to Narthex by aligning the day-to-day work with values around diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and resilience. Demonstrating a dynamic, effective, and collaborative leadership style that motivates others, Patricia has developed the charity’s strategic plan, successfully balanced the budget, created a highly effective team, and introduced a different approach to tackling the challenges within the environment the charity operates. 

Patricia is a strong leader with extensive experience of running organisations across diverse sectors including the food industry and social care. Asking Patricia what motivates her most, she says ‘seeing the challenge, identifying the solution, building a team of extraordinary people and watching them to solve it – so incredibly rewarding’.
